Fatoush is basically a salad made from fried pieces of Arabian flat bread and tossed with veges, lemon juice and mint leaves.
The mint leaves are refreshing and the lemon juice gives it the tang and kick. Can be served with lunch or dinner. An excellent addition for weight conscious people. The bread can be baked to avoid calories.
- 1 arabian flat bread cut and deep fried
- 1/2 cup lettuce chopped
- 1 cucumber chopped
- 1/2 tomato chopped
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 1/4 cup mint leaves chopped
- 1 lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1Mix together all the vegetables with salt, lemon juice and mint leaves.
- 2Add fried bread pieces.
